Utah Century Farm & Ranch

The Utah Century Farm and Ranches Committee is searching for farms and ranches that have remained in the hands of the same family for one hundred years or more. The Century Farm and Ranch designation honors the commitment of Utah farm and ranch families to the state’s agricultural industry.

Applications for this year’s designation will be accepted through April 1.

Summit County Rain Barrels

Stay tuned for the 2026 RainHarvest rain barrel distribution program!

As a Summit County resident, you can purchase a discounted, American-made rain barrel through Utah Rivers Council as an affordable way to conserve water this season. If you have any questions, please contact Megan Nick at mnick@summitcountyutah.gov.

USU Extension Organic Farming Summit

Join us for a full-day summit and be a part of Utah's growing organic movement.

Learn, connect, and help shape the future of organic agriculture in Utah alongside the Utah Transition to Organic Partnership Program (UT-TOPP) partners and community. Whether you're organic-curious, transition-ready, or already certified, and whether you farm a small market garden or manage hundreds of acres, this summit needs your voice at the table.

Hear directly from successful organic farmers, state and regional organic experts, food system advocates, and organic certifiers. Dive into organic systems, fertility and weed management, seed use, certification pathways, USU organic research, available resources, and the real-world challenges and opportunities facing organic growers in Utah.

Share a meal, build relationships, exchange ideas, and be part of what's to come.

Utah Pollinator Habitat Program

2026 applications are now open through April 15th!

The Utah Pollinator Habitat Program is a fantastic way to get hard-to-find native plants to incorporate into your landscape to provide habitat and forage for pollinators of all kinds.

Program goals:

  • Increase the amount of available pollinator habitat throughout Utah.
  • Enhance and expand existing landscapes to improve resources (pollen and nectar) available for pollinators.
  • Provide better connectivity between habitats to better support beneficial species.
  • Increase access and availability of native seed resources across the state.
  • Increase public awareness and involvement to improve pollinator habitat state-wide.
