This Valentine’s Day, our local dining establishments have some treats for you!
Special menus are available at many of our local restaurants, and boy do they look scrumptious!
Enjoy Sea Bass or Filet Mignon at Kelly's Lake House, a special meat carving station and live music at Wild Wings Plaza, and too many spectacular entrees to list here at Off the Rails. All come with mouth watering sides and desserts and all the fixings you could ask for.
Not looking for anything too fancy? Stop into any of our local favorite haunts for regular menu items to share with your sweetie.
Reservations recommended if not required at many spots.

Chamber Music Concert
February 14th, 2-4pm

Gal Pals, Couples, and anyone appreciating Chamber Music, Join us Valentine’s afternoon for wonderful music by Lake Pepin Chamber Music and sweet treats. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.
Doors open at 1:30, music starts at 2:00.
Suggested donation at the door: $15

| | 58th Annual Sportsmans Club Ice Fishing Tournament is Almost Here! | | |
This event is about so much more than catching fish, it's about community, it's about fun, it's about family, and it's about supporting one of the areas most beloved organizations!
Enjoy a bloody mary bar, a raffle and silent auction, kid's events, and great food, and much more!
There's no entry fee for kids under 15 and only $5 for the adult contest. Get there at 9am when the fun kicks off! Fishing licenses are required.

MN Chamber Needs your Feedback
The Minnesota Chamber has sent a survey to Chamber members to assess experiences with the Paid Leave program. The feedback they gain from business leaders will help us shape their action for the 2026 Legislative Session. Explore Minnesota Survey
Explore Minnesota is interested in hearing from Minnesota businesses that engage with tourists. They invite tourism and hospitality-related businesses and destination marketing organizations across the state to complete a short survey by end of day Wednesday, February 18.
- As you respond to this survey, focus on business trends from customers who travel 50 miles or more to reach your establishment.
- Aggregated survey data will be shared with key stakeholders and used to tell Minnesota’s travel story.

New Lake City Guides are Here!
We have received shipment of the printed copies of the 2026/27 Visitor Guide, we have launched a new webpage with an order form and a digital version of the publication. Along with this, we have purchased a massive ad buy on Meta platforms (via an Explore Minnesota partnership with national agency Strike Social) targeting Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and parts of Illinois and South Dakota. The ad features a :30 video collage and it links to our new Visitor Guide page.
We want to get this guide in the hands of all our visitors and potential visitors. If you have a tourism facing business in Lake City such as a vacation rental, hotel, or inn, please contact Annie here to order copies for placement in your rooms and at your front desks.

February Business After Hours
Join us for Business After Hours hosted by The Greater Lake City Community Foundation on Thursday, February 26, from 5:00–6:30 pm!
Business After Hours is a fun, casual networking event open to the public and a great way to connect with local business owners, professionals, and community members in a relaxed, after-work setting. Enjoy the opportunity to mingle, make new connections, and learn about this important Lake City organization, who's mission it is to inspire, sustain and enhance the quality of life for residents of this area, from the youngest to the oldest.

The snowshoe/hiking events at Hok Si La Park and Frontenac State Parks that were scheduled for January have been rescheduled for February due to weather conditions last month.
The new date and time for The Hok Si La Glow walk is Saturday, February 21st from 6-8pm. Find more info here
Likewise, the new date and time for the Frontenac Winter Candlelight event is now Saturday, February 28th from 6-8pm. See the event details here
