Piper's Press

News, resources, and hope from the Piper G. Amundson Foundation.

Welcome to Piper's Press! We are so grateful you've chosen to be a part of the Piper G. Amundson Foundation community. Whether you've donated, attended an event, shared our mission, or simply followed our journey, you are helping bring hope to children and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Each quarter, we will use this space to share stories of impact and celebrate the progress we are making together. Thank you for walking alongside us as we continue building a future where every child and family receives the compassionate care they deserve!

Sponsor Spotlight: Auto Repair Mom

When Auto Repair Mom approached us about hosting a fundraiser, we were incredibly grateful but not surprised! As one of the Piper G. Amundson Foundation's most loyal supporters, they have gone above and beyond to help further our mission. Their summer Pit Stop for Piper campaign is more than a fundraiser, its a reflection of their commitment to support children facing life-limiting diagnoses and their families. Through their generosity and the support of their customers, they're helping raise both awareness and critical funds as we work toward building the Southeast's first pediatric palliative, respite, and hospice house. We are deeply thankful to the Auto Repair Mom team for believing in our vision and continuing to stand beside us every step of the way. One month in, and they have raised nearly half of their $5,000 goal - which is AMAZING! If you find your ride in need of an oil change or brake service make a stop in Fort Mill to visit Bailey and her crew.

Cardinal Kids Birthday Grant

For the months of July & August we have partnered with the Cardinal Kids Birthday Program to provide birthday gifts for children currently enrolled in their pediatric hospice program. We are purchasing gifts for children 1 to 20 years old facing life-limiting diagnoses and their families trying to navigate life's hardest moments.

Plates for Piper - August 19th

Mark your calendars for Wednesday August 19th, and join us for dinner at Shake Shack in Huntersville! It's a delicious way to support the Piper G. Amundson Foundation - simply enjoy a meal with family or friends. Every burger, fry, and delicious shake shared helps raise awareness and support for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. We can't wait to see you there! This month's Plates for Piper also has the largest percentage give-back so if you haven't been to Plates for Piper consider this your personal invite to start!

Building More Inclusive Schools, Together

As students head back to school, a little understanding can go a long way in creating a safe, welcoming environment for children who rely on medical equipment. Devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, feeding tubes, oxygen, and communication devices are essential to a child's independence, comfort, and health. By respecting their space and asking before offering assistance, classmates, teachers, and parent volunteers can help every child feel seen, included, and valued. Before you kids head back to school take 5 minutes to cover this important topic as it could make a huge difference in supporting a fellow classmate.
