MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR | |
Welcome to my first newsletter as Managing Director and our final newsletter of 2025.
I was delighted to join TECHSiL in October to succeed Chris Dilley as Managing Director. We are excited that Chris has moved into a new role of Strategic Adhesives Director (more about our new roles later).
What a fantastic first few months in role, meeting customers, getting to know our amazing team and building a deep understanding of what makes TECHSiL special.
I would like to thank all our customers for sticking with us and putting their trust in TECHSiL. We enjoy the partnerships we have with our customers and love to hear about the wonderful applications – old and new.
(Forgive me for following the trail of Chris’s sticky humour - why change chemistry that works?)

I must also sincerely thank our staff for their incredible efforts during the year. I have been bowled over by their energy to solve problems for our customers, their immense technical knowledge and determination to push the business forward.
I’m excited about the momentum we can continue in 2026. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve please get in touch (Jill.Tennant@techsil.co.uk).
I’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, much joy and a healthy and Happy New Year.
Take good care,
Jill

The TECHSiL team, including Jill Tennant, Clair Edmunds and Slater Jinkinson, attended the grand opening of Aerospheres’ impressive new facility. Aerospheres partners with top aviation brands supporting both routine maintenance and urgent Aircraft on Ground needs.
This event marked a major milestone for our valued aerospace MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) customer. Aerospheres has successfully integrated its recent acquisition, Aerospace Reliance, bringing both companies under one roof.
We were delighted to celebrate this expansion and look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with the newly combined organisation. Seeing our key customers grow and innovate in the aerospace sector is fantastic, and we are excited to support their future success!

We’re pleased to share that Chris Dilley has a new role as Strategic Development Director, Specialty Adhesives. Chris has played an integral role in TECHSiL’s success over the last 16 years, including leading the business as Managing Director.
In his new role, Chris is working with TECHSiL’s parent company Diploma PLC to focus on broadening our adhesives footprint across the UK, Europe, and North America through acquiring and successfully onboarding new businesses (M&A).
As a result of Chris’s new role Jill Tennant joined TECHSiL as Managing Director. Jill joins us from Diploma where she was previously Strategy Director and HR Director. She was the first incumbent in both roles in a time of rapid growth at Diploma. After more than a decade in value-add distribution, Jill understands that TECHSiL’s value lies in technical partnership, powered by an exceptional team.

TECHSiL & Viking Get Stuck In at 3M
| | | | |
We were thrilled to announce the acquisition of Viking Industrial Products (Viking) earlier this year. Excited by the opportunity of broadening product ranges for both businesses we took the opportunity to bring the sales teams together in October. The teams from both TECHSil and Viking visited 3M at their innovation centre for 2 days full of discussion, team bonding, and product training.
The visit started with an informative tour of the Customer Innovation Centre then a successful sales meeting, kicking off Q1 and FY26, combining and sharing knowledge from both teams to start the next year off strong.
3M provided our teams with some brilliant product training including a trip to the lab for some hands-on experience.
Thank you to Stuart Fellows, Vinz Felix, David Cotterells and the rest of the 3M team for hosting us and providing some invaluable training!

We were delighted to host our principle silicone supplier Momentive at our headquarters in September. Momentive colleagues from Logistics, Customer Service, Channel Management, and Distribution Management all made the trip over the English Channel. We discussed how we strengthen our partnership between TECHSil and Momentive in order to solve customers’ problems We worked our way through many topics and put in a strong foundation for some exciting plans to underpin our future growth strategies.
We completed some technical training too on thermal management properties – an important application in many of our target markets.
Finally, we were proud to receive our certificate from Momentive as an A1 distributor.
A special mention must go to Momentive's Distribution Manager, Sjef Berndsen, who continues to support TECHSiL excellently and truly understands the business' needs after so many years working closely with us.
