Can’t wait for those first fresh veggies of the season? Good news - you don’t have to! From using cold frames to row cover, there are so many ways to get a jump start on spring planting.

Join us at Starr Farm on April 16th from 5:30-7 for a free, Spring Season Extension workshop to learn how you can implement season extension techniques into your own garden.

Spring Workshop Calendar

Pick from our vast array of topics and elevate your gardening know-how. We have plenty of options throughout April and May. All include hands-on skill development.

Some workshops are hosted in our heated Greenhouse at Landry Park in Winooski and others will rotate garden locations throughout Burlington.

Our Garden Like a Farmer series is returning this year thanks to sponsorship by the City of Burlington Conservation Legacy Fund. What a great way to take local action with nature-based climate solutions that empower us all to be the best land stewards.

Registration is free but helps us gauge participant numbers and in case of weather or last minute updates we can contact you.

Great B roll of our overwintered greens and one of the Nepali community elders harvesting cilantro, Board members networking, families learning, soil-blocking demonstration, allium identification, seed packet giveaway and the unveiling of our cultural crop guide!

Thanks to the 50+ community members who joined us.
