Who knew growing a blooming indoor vegetable garden was possible? Well, the
Indoor Gardening Club
members have learned just that. The youth are discovering how to create, care for and maintain an indoor garden. Some of the main focal points of the program are creating a healthy diet, environmental awareness and being self-sufficient.
Marquis is a proud member of the
Indoor Garden Club
. “With everything that is going on in the world right now," the budding young gardener said, "learning how to grow and provide food for my family, with my own hands, is everything!” His mother completely agrees. “I just wanted to say
thank you
for these amazing, hands-on virtual classes," she said. "My twin boys, Marquis and Marquez, think they're real chefs and gardeners now!”
Our members' faces light up every time with amazement as they track each inch of growth. One of the goals of the
Indoor Gardening Club
is to teach our Club members problem-solving skills while approaching unfamiliar challenges. As our young gardeners are tending to their growing plants, we cannot help but marvel at how their self-confidence, curiosity and creativity are blossoming right before our eyes.
