Remembering a Nevada agriculture leader

Tony Lesperance was a faculty member in animal nutrition, former director of the Nevada Department of Agriculture, and served as both an Elko County commissioner and Humboldt County manager. He established the Experiment Station's Gund Ranch and authored It Was Nevada, reflecting on his youth and time at the University.

Bob Hadfield served on our College advisory board and as executive director of the Nevada Association of Counties for over 20 years, as well as serving as the county manager of Douglas and Lyon counties. He was dedicated to bettering land management for the cattle industry and sustaining our natural resources.
