Growing the Church in Uganda | | |
Greetings Ministry Partners,
I believe that sound biblical teaching equips the church to bring lasting transformation to our communities. This conviction continues to drive our work in Uganda as we train pastors and ministry leaders, share CCI's vision, and encourage believers to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20.
During September, I was encouraged by opportunities to strengthen and expand this ministry. Our visit to northern Uganda brought together 43 pastors and ministry leaders eager to learn how CCI could help them disciple their congregations.
| |
Area Coordinator Abraham Koche also reported encouraging developments in western and eastern Uganda, including a new class in Fort Portal City and an outreach in Kamuge that led to more than 100 people coming to Christ and the launch of a new church.
These developments remind me why discipleship and leadership training matter. As leaders grow in their understanding of God’s Word, they are better equipped to teach others, reach their communities, and help new believers grow in faith.
Thank you for your generous support and for partnering with us to equip leaders, strengthen churches, and share the gospel across Uganda.

"My name is Naggayi Loyce Tuhaise, one of the ministry leaders at Power of God Church Kabegera, Fort Portal, Western Uganda. I thank God for this opportunity to bring CCI training to our church. I have benefited a lot, especially from learning the importance of studying the Bible intentionally and carefully. I cannot forget the truth that I have to study and obey the Word of God before I can teach others. Now I can observe, interpret, and apply the Word of God. I am so grateful for this opportunity. Thank you very much, CCI."

"My name is Kisembo Patrick, a church elder at Kabegera Power of God Church, Fort Portal. I am so grateful for CCI training at our church. I have come to understand the importance of devoting myself to studying the Word of God so that I may teach others. I have also learned the need to rely on the Holy Spirit in reading the Word of God. I am so thankful to God, and I know that my personal walk with the Lord and my ministry have not remained the same."
| | A new CCI class began at Kabegera Power of God Church in Fort Portal City with 10 ministry leaders enrolled. CCI trainer Roy Ssebagala, who coordinates the Western Uganda region, taught Book #1 to the new Fort Portal class from September 21-25. This training supports our ongoing commitment to equipping leaders to serve their congregations through biblical teaching and discipleship. | | Abraham joined CCI student Pastor Ochari Geofrey on an evangelistic mission at Kamuge Trading Centre, Pallisa District, from September 10 to 12. The outreach included open-air preaching and screenings of the Jesus Film. Abraham reported that more than 100 people came to faith in Christ. | Abraham and Pastor Geofrey at the evangelistic outreach | |
Following the mission, a new church was launched on September 13. Pastor Magana Wilberforce, a disciple of Pastor Geofrey, will pastor the congregation. Pastor Geofrey’s vision is to plant 100 Latter Rain churches by the end of 2029.
Please join me in praying for this new congregation, Pastor Wilberforce, and Pastor Geofrey, as well as our other CCI students who are sharing the gospel and planting churches.
