Scouting: A Family Affair

For the Trevino family, Scouting has always been more than just an activity—it’s a way of life. Recently, Rhiannon was finally able to step fully into that tradition, joining her own Cub Scout den just like her older brother Dylan before her. No longer watching from the sidelines, wishing she could take part, she’s now experiencing the same fun, adventure, and lifelong lessons firsthand. Scouting isn’t just about badges and campouts; it’s about family, shared experiences, and growing together. And for Rhiannon, the journey has only just begun!

Racing to Success!

A few weeks ago, Pack 788 held another thrilling Pinewood Derby, and it was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of the Woman’s Club of Redondo Beach, we had the perfect venue to watch our Scouts' hard work race down the track. From creative car designs to photo-finish victories, the event was filled with excitement, teamwork, and memories that will last a lifetime. A big thank you to all the Scouts, families, and volunteers who made it happen—see you at the finish line next year!

Gear Replacement Fund

Support Scouts in Rebuilding Their Scouting Gear

As families recover from the devastation of the fires, we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our volunteers. Now, our focus shifts to helping replace essential camping gear. While many have generously offered equipment, we want to ensure that impacted Scouts can select the gear best suited for their adventures.

Please consider donating to the Gear Replacement Fund. All funds raised will be distributed to affected families through REI gift cards, allowing them to purchase exactly what they need to continue their Scouting journey. Together, we can help them get back outdoors and back to what they love most!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this possible! We’d love to hear how your experience went—please share your story with Cicily Gardea at Cicily.Gardea@scouting.org.
