Established key player in a huge growth market

With its user-friendly payment app and advanced asset management software, Engenie plans, installs and operates rapid chargers at commercial host sites, capable of charging EVs within 30 minutes for an average range of 85 miles. Given its high-profile portfolio of public and private landowner partners, fleet customers and prime sites, Engenie has set out to become the market leader with a proven and sustainable value chain. With EV take-up accelerating, demand for electric fuel will be required from 8,500 rapid chargers by 2022, a £250M market opportunity (in the UK alone) which Engenie is in pole-position to capture.

Rapid charging set for significant growth

Rapid charging is a key area of the EV market sector that addresses the problem of quick turnaround for commercial fleets, taxis or individuals away from home or work. It currently provides up to 16x the speed of standard chargers, with new technology set to increase to 50x. Engenie also intends to be the first UK operator to partner with bus operators to install a system capable of charging en-route and at the terminus in three minutes.
