One of Guadalupe's own has been nominated for Utah Teacher of the Year! Help support our youngest students by donating board books. Just 4 more weeks of summer school - and we are packing in the fun along with the learning.
UTAH TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Ms. Jamie Jensen has been nominated for Utah Teacher of the Year! Here is what she has to say: “I am extremely honored to have been nominated for Utah Teacher of the Year. In my eleven years at Guadalupe, I have only wanted to create an environment where my students feel safe and enjoy learning. I love having the opportunity to work with and learn from my amazing colleagues and dedicated students to become the best teacher I can be. I look forward to many more years of being able to strengthen my classroom community!”
BOARD BOOKS FOR OUR LITTLEST LEARNERS
Our In-Home Family Support Program works with parents to become their baby's first teacher. We hope to provide our families with a small collection of board books to read with their babies and toddlers. Visit our Amazon wish list and help purchase the books our families need. Whether you can purchase 1, or 10, all will be shipped right to Guadalupe School and given to the families we serve.
NOURISH TO FLOURISH
Thank you to Utah Foods, Del & Mary Draper, Jaye & Eric Olafson, Anne Duffin, and Linda Dunn for providing nutritional meals each week to 40 of our families. We are grateful to be receiving these family sized meals each week this summer for Guadalupe School students through an initiative called Nourish to Flourish. This program was set up to help support the restaurant industry during the pandemic by connecting donors and restaurants with local nonprofits to provide meals to those in need.
Transforming Lives Through Education
Guadalupe School loves taking our students on enriching field trips to create an immersive learning environment. We broaden our students' educational experience by providing sensory activities which allow them to achieve higher academic performance!
