Guaranteed Admissions Program
Trinity High School and Mount St. Mary's University
Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and Trinity High School have partnered on an admissions agreement guaranteeing Trinity’s graduates admission and a four-year renewable scholarship to the university.

“This partnership is an ideal fit because both the Mount and Trinity have long histories of enrolling students who are looking to live significantly,” said Mount St. Mary’s President Timothy E. Trainor, Ph.D. “The agreement recognizes our shared goal to enhance access to high-quality, values-based education at the high school and post-secondary levels.”

"This partnership will allow Trinity's graduates to continue to develop their gifts and their minds, bodies, and souls at Mount St. Mary's University, an institution with more than two centuries of rich educational history within the Catholic Tradition,” said Trinity Principal John Cominsky, a graduate of both Trinity and the Mount. “I have no doubt that this partnership will bless many of our students and their families."

Under the agreement, signed by Trainor and Cominsky, Trinity students who meet defined requirements are guaranteed admission to Mount St. Mary's. Students who have a 3.00 GPA (85%) and either 1080 SAT (EBRW and Math) or a 21 ACT composite qualify for this program and will receive, at minimum, a $22,000 four-year award, with a total value of $88,000.

A Mount St. Mary’s admissions representative will visit Trinity as many as three times a year to share information about the Mount’s academic programs and the application, admissions, and financial aid processes.
