Thank you Mrs. Lucas

A heartfelt thank you, to Katie Lucas as she leaves her position at SMA as the Advancement Assistant to work at the Vocations Office for the Diocese Kansas City-St. Joseph. Katie was part of the small original staff who started to work for St. Michael the Archangel during the planning year while Archbishop O'Hara High School was still open. While she will be missed, we wish her all the best in her new role at the Diocese!

Science Student of the Month- March

Congratulations to pre-AP Biology student Trey Hoots as the Science Student of the Month of March. Trey was nominated for the award by his instructor, Mr. Pitts. Trey comes to class ready to learn and asks outstanding questions in class. Additionally, Trey has a curious mind which helps Mr. Pitts teach critical thinking processes in his class.

Trey enjoys his science class because each day Mr. Pitts teaches new biology concepts while keeping the class engaged with interesting related “side notes” to the pertinent science topic of the day. Trey enjoys SMA because it is a relatively small school which enables him to excel in sports and academics.
