Pup Alert News & Available Pups
April 6th, 2018
XANADU needs Guardian Homes* for several of our females who must to be re-homed for pretty honest reasons: Human Guardians had to move to a retirement center, work-work-work with not enough time for doggie interaction--training and walks and play, deployment!, new job elsewhere...

So, we are offering some Guardian dogs for free with either one - or - two - litter Breeding Agreements. Other puppies noted below are babies and not quite ready for new homes. Some future XANADU Guardians have not been born. In these cases, parent dog photos are also included.

A "Guardian" puppy or dog is our BEST pup / dog, according to XANADU Breeding Goals. Someone gets our best pup for 1/3 - to - 1/2 price. Puppy gets a fantastic home. And XANADU gets to see these "best" characteristics in future litters. Please see attached Guardian Information document and note that breeding expenses are XANADU expenses and Guardian Homes are reimbursed for puppy care.

I am back in the States and can be reached both by email, sheron.steele@gmail.com , and by cell phone: 970 708-8030. Please contact me if you are interested in one of the FREE or Reduced-Price Guardian young - adults or Guardian pups that follow.
AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY & FREE TO EXCELLENT GUARDIAN HOMES:
TWO Young Adult GOBERIANS , RAVEN & MUSE, both about 60 lb.
(See Photos of RAVEN & MUSE)
Two big, young, beautiful Tri-Color Guardian Females need new Guardian Homes, and will be placed separately -- unless you live on a ranch / have big space for active girls. Both Raven & Muse are out of XANADU'S (golden - red) Ginger and are sired by a network breeder's silver, traditionally-marked AKC Siberian stud, NANUK. Raven & Muse would enjoy having families with children, other animals -- cats and / or dogs / ranch animals, and daytime attention. Each would also thrive in a daytime Doggie DayCare while their Guardians are at work. Both females are considered "woolies" (longer coated). Raven has two blue eyes; Muse has one blue eye. BOTH ARE FREE TO GREAT GUARDIAN HOMES and BOTH SHOULD HAVE ONE LITTER THIS SEASON , and then these females can be spayed and continue their careers as your BFF.  PLEASE CONTACT ME AT sheron.steele@gmail.com NOTE: A "GUARDIAN" is our best puppy in a litter, according to XANADU'S Breeding Goals. OTHER NEWS from April Fools Day to New Puppy of MINE, Chanda:

Got to hand it to Chanda's trainer, Ted Hoff at Cottonwood Kennel. Chanda now has a new career; unfortunately, she has had to move to Russia.

XANADU actually BREEDS FOR dogs that read minds...dogs that WANT to pay attention, do what I ask, or even anticipate what needs to be done and volunteer to do it.
So, I've got this excellent 5-month-old puppy from a Goberian litter of 2017, Chanda (hard "Ch," as in Charles). Yesterday, I took her out in the wilds -- literally full of mountain lions, bobcats, turkeys, a rock cliff of north-facing bear dens. We hiked on-leash for a while, because Chanda's never been near a cliff before. Sometimes the darned crows/ravens will fly low and tempt a predator to chase them--and then fly out over a cliff. Instant meal of dead predator.
Anyhow, I was remembering when XANADU foundation-dog, Miss Alice, would hike with us pack members way back when she was the fastest middle-distance critter on this side of the planet. It was Alice's job to do four things, and she did them well, and I can prove it; I'm here to tell the story:
1. Alice would keep me and the other dogs in the center of her roaming periphery.
2. Stay in my sight.
3. Let us know of danger (and she saw plenty of that).
4. Run to me every blessed time I fell down on the scree and help me get up when conditions got really weird.
I thought of Alice and how much I miss hiking with my now-elderly, hospice dog who couldn't be with Chanda and me. I didn't know if Chanda was up for the job of being my hunting partner, my keeper and BFF-companion. But there is Saluki-Alice way back there in Chanda; there is a BIG chunk of very quiet and alert Siberian Husky, and there are other scant percentage of genetic wonders, too--like Australian Shepherd, and mostly...there is the Golden Retriever. The Goldens are obedient retrievers in the wild, me-thinks, but not wild enough themselves. And I'm extremely critical in noting doggie potential.
I sighed...pulled cactus out of one of Chanda's paw. Began the teaching of a new phrase, "Chanda! Careful! Cactus!" After a while, the trail became broad on the way to our parked car. Nothing but deer and elk tracks and turkey feathers. I let Chanda off leash. She followed very well, explored nearby, but then suddenly moved fur-snuggle close to me. I followed her eyes to the left. Didn't see anything; Didn't hear anything. Chanda barks.
I didn't try to sight-in whatever she has noticed, my eyes down between her ears, her nose as a scope. Not this time; I didn't have bear spray with me; the car was in sight. We just walked to the car, me thinking that this new Goberian dog is going to be just fine for me.
