A tale of kindness, friendship and acceptance.
Owlivia is a new owl in the neighborhood and lonely. As she flies over a group of small Burrowing Owls, she sees them playing in the burrow. She tries to make friends with them, but they refuse because she looks different. Even so, Owlivia does acts of kindness for the owls, and saves a baby owl from great danger. The other owls are thankful to Owlivia for her kindness. The story is a tale of friendship that prevails even when individuals look different. Resources for teachers, parents, and children about empathy, kindness, and friendship are included at the end of the book.
