Welcome Neal Watkins, Our Guest Preacher
Neal is the Minister for Faith Formation of the Florida Conference of the United Church or Christ. He and his wife, Pam, live in Vero Beach Florida with their children Casey (7) and Caleb (4) .

Neal grew up as an active member of Gables UCC in Miami and would later move to the Tampa Bay area where he attended the University of South Florida as a major in Religious Studies while working as a member of Chapel on the Hill UCC and as the Faith Events Coordinator for the Florida Conference.

Before returning to the Florida Conference in the Spring of 2018, Neal spent the last ten years working for the Community Church of Vero Beach as Youth Minister, and later, the Ministry Associate for Youth and Families. While working at CCOVB, Neal attended Chicago Theological Seminary where he successfully defended his thesis, "Millennial Ecclesiology: Merging and Reconciling the Church's Latest Great Divide."

In his free time, Neal enjoys playing fetch with his dog (Tillich), doing logic puzzles, and eating french fries with his "exercise buddies".

VBS Is Awesome!
Many Thanks to Andrea Burt and the VBS Crew
Davis Hall became the African Savannah base
for many VBS "ROAR" activities.
Reenacting stories of Moses taking the Israelites out of Egypt.
Hungry Israelites cooking their marshmallow dinner over "campfires"
(a favorite part of the storytelling).
Creating in the African Savannah.
More creating in the VBS outpost.
Some favorite parts of VBS: making friends & fun with counselors.

We're getting ready for Rally Day!
Following in Cindy’s Fabulous Fellowship Footsteps,
we are getting ready for Rally Day weekend.

The tent and food have been ordered (including the snow-cones!)
On September 8, after worship, we will head over to
Carrollton School to celebrate Rally Day.
It's a fun afternoon as we spend time together
catching up with friends, playing in the big pool,
enjoying a delicious lunch and
eating snow cones, cotton candy and more!

But first, we need some folks to help with a few items:
Friday, September 6: we need someone to oversee the
tent set up at Carrollton (around noon). Vendor does the work, you oversee.
Sunday, September 8: we need a few folks to:
>Shepherd our vendors as they arrive at Carrollton
>Drop off coolers and ice for drinks (we have the coolers)
>Make sure no belongings or trash are left behind when the party is over.

Available to help? Thanks! Please contact Liz Miller

Hurricane Helpers
After a hurricane, when the power is out and the phones don’t work, a friendly check in from a member of our Plymouth family can ease the isolation we feel, encourage children who may have been frightened, and help us know we are not alone.

In the spirit of preparedness and proper prior planning, we have organized a listing of our members by zip code. We would like to hear from you if, following a hurricane, you are willing to check on members who live near you (especially our more vulnerable members).  Interested? Please contact Pastor Moira at
305-444-6521 or Tony Scornavacca: tony3000@usa.com.
