Wednesday, Jan. 15th, at 7:30 PM Via Zoom.

Substance abuse among teenagers is an alarming issue, and staying informed is the first step to prevention. Join us at our Monthly PTSA Community Meeting on Wednesday, January 15th, at 7:30 PM via Zoom for a timely and impactful discussion led by Brian Yeagley, FCPS Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist.

Did you know?

Studies show that nearly 1 in 3 teens in the U.S. has tried vaping, alcohol, or marijuana, and over 40% admit to being tempted to use these substances at least once. Understanding the risks and being prepared to talk to your child can make all the difference.

What You’ll Learn:

  • The latest trends in teen vaping, alcohol, and drug use
  • How to identify early warning signs of substance use
  • Strategies for talking to your teen and fostering open communication
  • Support resources available to families in Fairfax County

This meeting is an excellent opportunity for parents, educators, and community members to gain valuable insights and tools to combat this growing problem. Let’s work together to keep our teens safe and healthy! The Zoom link will be emailed out the day of the event. Be sure to mark your calendars!
