GUIDANCE FOR PTA COMMUNITIES FACING SCHOOL CLOSURES DURING THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK
Your family’s health and the health of our communities is paramount. Please follow CDC, DOH and DOE guidance to keep your families and your members safe. Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a stay-at-home order for the State of Florida effective through April 30.
Updated COVID-19 Resources

We understand there are a lot of concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus within our PTA communities and schools. Please be assured that Florida PTA is continuing to closely monitor the information from our school districts and government officials regarding measures being implemented in our communities.

Fortunately, school districts across the state are developing and implementing valuable resources and procedures for educating and supporting students while school facilities are closed. Florida PTA encourages families to work closely with school officials to learn about measures being implemented in their local communities.

We are also working alongside our partner associations to stay informed and guide parents to other valuable coronavirus resources. To view Florida PTA's main Coronavirus information page, which contains a wealth of resources to help your family, school, and PTA navigate the outbreak, click here.

State Office Update

As of March 23, 2020, the Florida PTA office in Orlando has implemented a Remote Work From Home plan for staff. We are anticipating a return to the state office on May 1, but will adjust this date in response to further instruction from our federal, state, and local leaders, as well as the Governor's office and the Florida PTA Personnel Committee.

We expect to provide our volunteers and members with the same level of attention and service as always. Staff will continue to be reachable on their floridapta.org email addresses, and messages left on their office voicemail will continue to be responded to in a timely manner.
