AP Results

For those who take the spring AP Exams, 3 important reminders:
1) You can have one score report sent for free. June 20 is the deadline to indicate or change the college, university or scholarship program that you would like to receive your free score report. This needs to be done through "My AP."
2) Never discuss or share the free-response exam content with anyone unless it's released on the College Board website.
3) Your AP Exam scores for this year will be available online in July.

CCP Update

Students should continually check their college email addresses to get information on registration/orientation and updates. Additionally, be on the lookout for the final award letter that will tell you how many hours of CCP credit you have been awarded. Remember that you will not have your finalized FC schedule of classes before registering for CCP courses. Go ahead and schedule the college classes and your FC schedule will then be built. Please email [email protected] your CCP schedule as soon as you have it finalized.

ACT Review Sessions

Since 2003, the ACT Review has been providing help to students wanting to improve their ACT scores. They will be holding their summer test prep at Capital University in preparation of the June, July and September tests. Visit www.actreview.com or call Trent Howard at 614.834.8886 for more information.

Summer Gym at FC

For those still needing to complete a PE requirement (all FC students have two gym credits for graduation, 0.25 credits each), we are, once again, looking forward to our traditional in-person summer gym:
Tuesday 6/1-6/4
and
Monday 6/7-6/10
7:30-3:30, cost is $125 per student

Students are welcome to register for summer gym right up to the first morning of class. Please email Dr. Lozada at [email protected] for registration paperwork.

 Searching for Career Mentors

Students are encouraged to explore career options by taking online inventories, talking with college admissions counselors, and shadowing professionals in their work settings. I'm currently searching for computer professionals and/or computer engineers who would be willing to have an FC junior shadow you for any amount of time. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please email me at [email protected]

Juniors! Summer College Visits

While not all schools are offering on-campus tours, many are and more are opening up each day. Time away from school for college visits is an excused absence. Many students/families like to schedule two visits on one day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, if travel time in between allows. To schedule, visit the college website. If on campus visits are not happening, please talk with admissions staff to get a better idea of how to learn about campus.
