Yesterday Eagle County moved to the “Blue Phase,” which opens our county up to do more. Some of the changes included in the new order are listed below.

  • Allows gatherings of up to 50 people. Six feet of distance will still be required between non-household members.
  • Allows dine-in service at restaurants and bars at a reduced capacity, with social distancing protocols in place.
  • Allows short-term lodging to reopen at a reduced capacity.
  • Allows outdoor recreation businesses, such as guided tours, and areas with high-touch equipment like playgrounds to open if social distancing and sanitation requirements are met.
  • Requires all visitors to be free of any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 for 10 days prior to arrival in Eagle County.
  • Continues requirements for people who are sick and for people who have been exposed to someone who is sick.
  • Continues requirement for all businesses to create and visibly post a Social Distancing Protocol, explaining how the business is achieving all social distancing, sanitizing and cleaning, and other requirements.

The most significant change for the real estate industry is it allows non-residents to come to Eagle County to view properties, but they must follow all requirements of Section IV. D of the May 25, 2020 Eagle County Public Health Order. This includes not visiting Eagle County if you have symptoms of COVID-19, self-screening for symptoms, and following all self-isolation and self-quarantine procedures if necessary. These tools are easy to share.

Please know that because DORA governs real estate Open Houses are still not allowed at this point.

As a business in the community, I would encourage you to check out the “Business Communication Guide” and the “Welcome Home” toolkit, which invites second homeowners to “come here, live here, stay here.” There has been a lot of work to support our economic recovery.

We are six days away from our Conversion to Flexmls! If you have not had a chance to take a live webinar be sure to register for one this week. If the times do not work for your schedule, all webinars are posted on the Flex Conversion page or on VBR.net. Don’t forget that Rapattoni will go  Read Only  on  May 28th at 11:59 p.m . That means members will be unable to add or edit any listings, contacts or saved search during the 29th, 30th and 31st. Be sure to plan accordingly.

Best regards,
Erica Kirk
EAGLE COUNTY 'PHASE 2'
Eagle County has advanced to the "Blue" Phase in the county’s  Public Health Order  regarding COVID-19. The move officially took place yesterday.

All community members are strongly encouraged to read the entire order. As some restrictions are rolled back, Eagle County officials note the importance of residents and business leaders continuing to meet social distancing requirements.
County offers toolkits for local businesses

Eagle County has an updated  COVID-19 Business Toolkit  and a Business Communication Toolkit to help local businesses navigate the transition from the Green Phase to the Blue Phase. These resources are available to all businesses as they prepare for the next iteration of the public health order.
The VBR office will  remain closed until May 31 , and the staff will continue to work remotely.

  • We have an hour window on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. for members to pick up lockboxes and "Welcome Home Bags". Members must email [email protected] beforehand so we can have items ready for pick up outside the office, which will limit interaction.
WELCOME HOME
Campaign aims to create economic recovery

The Welcome Home campaign invites second-home owners to “come here, live here, stay here.” It's also a strategy to quickly bring much-needed revenue into the community.

The toolkit is a collection of graphics and messages that invite our second-home owners to move to Eagle County. Use these assets to connect with second-home owners and locals, and together we will lead our community toward economic recovery.
