President's Message

Portsmouth Arts Guild started the new year with a colorful show featuring quilts from the Prudence Island Quilters. We have ten upcoming exhibition shows with inspiring themes thanks to Wayne Quackenbush and interesting classes thanks to Suzanne Lewis.
To support all the guild activities, an exciting fundraiser is in the works (see information below). Please start thinking about which piece of art you would like to gift to PAG's exhibition and fundraiser, "THE GREAT ART HEIST". The final event will culminate with a  party at Common Fence Point Center on Saturday, May 30th  featuring a random drawing where every ticket holder will go home with a personally selected piece of original art. Your donated work of art will be on exhibit at Common Fence Point Arts, Wellness and Community Center beginning May 25 until the evening of the drawing, May 30th,  when a ticket holder will select your piece and enjoy it forever.

The Great Art Heist 2020

Common Fence Arts, Wellness & Community Center

Exhibition Opens: Monday, May 25
Artists Reception: Friday, May 29 at 6 pm
Drawing: Saturday, May 30 at 5 pm

The Great Art Heist is an exhibition and fund raiser that culminates in an exciting evening where every ticket holder goes home with a personally selected original artwork.

Proceeds will support the guild's mission to contribute to the cultural enrichment of the community through the arts.

Each $50 ticket is valid for admission for one person and one piece of art work on the drawing evening. Each $60 ticket is valid for one piece of art work plus admission for a guest on the drawing evening.

Ticket numbers are drawn at random on the evening of the

Sounds great but it won't happen without you.
Your gift of an original piece of art is what will make this happen AND it is tax deductible for market value.
