Portsmouth Arts Guild Show at the
Barrington Library Mar 2 – Apr 30

Visitors to the Barrington Public Library during the months of March and April will be treated to a curated collection of art work by members of the Portsmouth Arts Guild (PAG) in Portsmouth, RI. The exhibit titled “Connections”, showcases work done by the PAG members during an online or plein air (outdoor) class or event since June 2020 in an attempt to foster creativity and safe socialization during an isolating and uncertain time. The show features watercolors, oils, acrylics, pen and inks, collages, printmaking, and multimedia artwork all done while maintaining safe practices outdoors, or learning via Zoom. Supporting artists and encouraging people interested in art was the focus of our classes, workshops and online galleries during the pandemic. If nothing else, artists are adaptable when facing challenges and our commitment to thrive is evident in the gallery of work at the library.
