Guild Notes: March 2024

March 19 Guild Meeting for Members & Guests

"Music Therapy, The Subtle Healer"

Join us for a fascinating program with a music therapist on Tuesday, March 19! We'll get answers to questions like "where do therapists work?", "what do they actually do?", and "can music relieve pain?".

Our speaker is Alison Hughey, board certified music therapist and adjunct instructor at Converse College. Since earning her degree in music performance and board certification in 2010, she has served clients from 18 months to 103 years old and contributed to community mental health research and dementia care.

We will gather at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour at 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd. (approximately 1.4 miles north from Red Lobster at the intersection of Wade Hampton and N. Pleasantburg.) There is ample parking near the double doors to the sanctuary.

Light refreshments will be served.

Please RSVP by calling 864-859-5011 and leaving a message.

A warm welcome to our newest member, Diane Perlmutter.

Updates to our 2023-2024 Membership Directory & Calendar are attached below.

On the left is an Addendum that shows changes that were made since the last Addendum, while on the right is the entire updated Directory, which is also available on our website. (Note: the members-only password on the website is Volunteer@GSO2)
