Tim's whole family will be in attendance as we also honor his daughter, Sam, on her high school graduation. We'll get to see them a few weeks later as St Mark's will host his Diaconal Ordination with Bishop David M. Reed on Tues, Jun 6th at 6:30pm.

Guild Open Houses Every Sunday in June 9:45-10:45am

Since the Levites started taking care of the tabernacle in 1440BC, there has always been a group of people who have found joy and purpose in serving beside God's altar, table, and worship space. If this kind of service piques your interest, check out a few of our Open Houses next month.

The Chosen

Screening and Discussion 5:30-7pm

June 7, 14, 21, and 28

July 12, 19, and 26

Join Fr Christian and Tamara Talasek for an evening delve into the world of the New Testament. Bring a meal, snack, and friend as we watch episodes of the popular TV Series The Chosen, chronicling the stories of Mary Magdalene, Simon Peter, Nicodemus, and other New Testament characters. We'll spend thirty minutes afterward each episode talking about the biblical references, the plausible historical backstories, and the implications to our own faith.

Summer Reading for Empty Nesters

As we recognize all the graduates this Sunday, we also understand a season of transition awaits parents. If your last child has left the nest in the last few years, and you're looking for what's next, check out Richard Rohr's Book Falling Upwards, which talks all about the second half of life and the spiritual richness that awaits. Fr Christian will be leading a book study on this text later in the year, so read up on vacation this summer and come ready to ask some good questions in the fall.

 Preschool Recruiting Help

Our St Mark's Preschool needs your help in enrolling new students. Despite a ton of word of mouth recommendations from our school community, Facebook posts, Community Impact ads, yard signs, and flyers at the library, pediatrician offices, and public bulletin boards, we still have 10 spots open. Please share these media tools with your social circles, and put in a good word for us with all your parents of 3-4 year-olds. If you need any of these materials or more information please contact our head of school, Stacy Whited, stacy@stmarkssanmarcos.org or send folks to stmarks-sanmarcos.org/preschool.
