A Quick Note About Bill File Names

When a bill is first introduced, the file name ends with letter "F" for first reader. Accordingly, the bill file name will resemble the following:

  • House Bills: hb0001F.pdf
  • Senate Bills: sb0001F.pdf

Between the first reader and the third reader the bill file name does not change. However, constant monitoring of amendments offered is necessary to keep pace with the possible changes in the language of the bill.

Bills which progress to 3rd reader (the final vote in each chamber) will undergo a file name change. Third reader version will include the text of all amendments passed adopted and have a "T" for third reader in place of the "F" for the first reader version:

  • House Bills: hb0001T.pdf
  • Senate Bills: sb0001T.pdf
