U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) will begin using a new online H-1B visa registration process to choose H-1B petitions in the lottery selection system.
Under this new process, employers have
from March 1, 2020 to March 20, 2020
to electronically register for the lottery. The registrations must include information about each H-1B beneficiary.
USCIS will select registrations for the H-1B visa lottery cap no later than March 31, 2020. If selected, employers will have 90 days starting April 1, 2020 to submit a full H-1B petition on behalf of the beneficiary named in the registration.
Employers seeking to sponsor foreign nationals for H-1B employment in the U.S. should start preparing immediately to submit their registrations beginning March 1, 2020.
