Living the Håfa Adai Pledge:
Anthony Tornito
Anthony Tornito, a Wildlife Biologist with the Department of Agriculture--Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources, is an amazing example of an individual who lives out the Håfa Adai Pledge every day of his life.

Tornito works diligently to preserve and care for the Ko'ko' (Guam Rail), an indigenous bird to Guam, as well as other endangered native wildlife. Tornito goes above and beyond to share his spirit, knowledge, and talents with others. He inspires many with his zeal and efforts to protect and care for the island's wildlife and natural resources. Tornito strongly believes that respecting the land and its creatures goes hand in hand with respecting our local community and our visitors.

When Tornito isn't working at the Department of Agriculture, he participates in numerous community outreach activities. Tornito also lends his assistance in a number of Guam Visitors Bureau signature events and activities ranging from the Guam Micronesia Island Fair, the Guam BBQ Block Party, and the Ko'ko' Kids Fest. Visitors and locals alike are drawn to his positive energy and contagious passion for Guam and its wildlife.

Anthony Tornito is an amazing example of an individual who truly represents what the Håfa Adai Pledge is all about. He is committed to living each day of his life protecting our island's natural resources and sharing the Håfa Adai Spirit. On behalf of the Guam Visitors Bureau, we thank individuals such as Tornito for making Guam a better place to live, work, and visit!
