Sarai Dela Cruz &

Sarai and Inatan are members of the Håfa Adai Pledge Kids Program and were inducted this past February 2019 along with the faculty, staff, and student body of M.U. Lujan Elementary School.

Sarai and Inatan are living their Håfa Adai pledges by protecting their culture through practicing the CHamoru language. Lujan CHamoru teacher and language competition coach, Sinora Loretta Cruz, shared that Sarai and Inatan have been practicing diligently for over a month.

We hope Håfa Adai Pledge Kids Program members Sarai and Inatan inspire other students and Håfa Adai Pledge Kids Program members to live out the pledges they made to protect their culture, share the Håfa Adai Spirit, and protect the islands natural resources. It is the dedication of students such as Sarai and Inatan that enable the CHamoru culture and language to thrive. S
