June 16, 2016
Message from the Director - Robert Landau
Congratulations Betty White!
On June 14th, I had the honor and privilege of attending the 39th Annual YWCA Oahu Leader Luncheon. This event honors women who have demonstrated leadership and made a difference in our community. The 900 friends, colleagues, and guests were treated to inspirational and thought provoking acceptance speeches by honorees Marilyn Lee, Helen Nagano, Donna Tanoue - and HAIS Board Member Betty White. As the Head of School at Sacred Hearts Academy, Betty was celebrated for her dedication to equipping young girls with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build a successful future. As a result of Betty's outstanding leadership and mentorship of over 5,000 girls, 100% of Sacred Hearts Academy's graduates advance to college. On behalf of the HAIS Board and Staff, I would like to extend a huge congratulations to Betty on this milestone in her career. Betty exemplifies the HAIS Vision of "preparing all students for the challenges of life and social responsibility."

Mahalo,
Robert Landau
