We hope that we always brighten your day, and I just want you to know that you also brighten our days! Too often, we just forget to tell you that! I spent the main of my morning visiting with the class, talking with shoppers, talking with crew (when I should have been writing this newsletter, I suppose!), and you guys made my day! Got some good laughs, a lot of smiles, and happy vibes all around. Last week, I swear I thought the ions in the air were all tumbled up, stopping those senses of accomplishments from raising their wonderful heads. But you lovely people changed all of that, just by being you! All the ions have come back into sync now, and all is right. Love that feeling, right??? | | Click on the Picture for more Information | | And that’s a VERY good thing, especially since this is Halloweenie week! If you have those Halloween sweaters and shirts, now is the time to wear them, or put them away for another year! They still all make me smile, and some make me laugh out loud. Our schedule is empty that day, so if you want to stop by in costume, I’m sure we can find a treat somewhere in the shop for you because we sure don’t want to get tricked! One year, I dressed my golden retriever up as a construction worker and we went door to door. She HATED the hardhat. Another year, she dressed in a skirt and Ms. Golden Az.sash, but refused to keep the crown on. I did ask Mr. Murfee if he wanted to dress up this year, and I got a hard Irish NOT ON YOUR LIFE answer. So I took that as a no from him. But we have some cute Witches’ Hats on display, and if you want to join us for the day on Friday, let us know you’d like to come in and work on some of your projects. Your TREAT—NO CHARGE! Your TRICK—finding a spot to sit. I hope we get lots of you in for the day!!! Happy Halloween!!!! | | Click on the Picture for more Information | | An important announcement to make: SVQ is the monthly meeting spot for our local Quilts of Valor Group!!! We are proud to host you on the second Saturday of each month in our classroom. Meeting time is 10-2, so bring your sewing machine and any notions you want to use while sewing with us. We do, however, have cutting mats, rotary cutters, irons and ironing boards among other things, for you to use. Upcoming meeting dates are November 8, December 13, and January 10. The Quilts of Valor Foundation is a national, non-profit 501c3 , and they award quilts to service members and veterans who have been nominated through the national website (www.qovf.org) . There are over 700 local groups that make and award these healing and comforting quilts. Anyone can make a nomination, and to date, over 400,000 quilts have been awarded!! Please join them in our classroom, meet some new people and help support a wonderful foundation! | | Don’t forget to sign up for One Block Wonder, which begins Nov. 2 from 12-3:45. For this first class, no machine is necessary. OOPS…I just learned that this class is full, but we have started an “Interest List” for a repeat class so please sign up for that class (dates to be determined). | | FYI—Nov. 15-30, we will have 0% interest for 48 months on in-shop purchases of $2500 or more of BERNINA machines, so get your budget in order, come pick out your dream machine and pick up your early Christmas present from Santa!!! Our castle is coming along very nicely, if I do say so. | | Excellent prices and packages are still available on Q’nique machines, Grace frames, Cutie Breeze tabletop frames (which nearly all of us have room for if we have the desire), Little Rebel machines (good for both domestic piecing plus longarm quilting) and frame combos, and so much more.
