Long Branch, Windmill
We meet at the Windmill across from Seven President's Park in Long Branch at 6:00 p.m. 
(6:15 in summer) We do a 4-6 mile run along the boardwalk and around Lake Takanasseee passing the Dr. George Sheehan Memorial.

Rise n' Shine 
Our newest group run meets Thursday morning  6:00 a.m. at Dunkin Donuts,16th Avenue & Ocean in Belmar. Going by the name "Rise 'n Shine", it's geared toward runners who like to get up and get their run done before starting their work day. Members and non-members welcome!

The Thursday group run is now meeting on the Belmar Boardwalk by Taylor Pavilion on 6th Avenue and starts at 6:00 p.m.
We usually go 4-6 miles on the well-lit boardwalk which is a very safe place to run. Occasionally some will extend the run for 8 miles. We have a stead y group comprising all paces & experience levels. All paces are welcome.
We usually go out to dinner afterward, so bring your appetite as well!
Location may change to Asbury Park in late Fall.

Bodman Park in Middletown
Meet at Bodman Park just off Navesink River Road at 8:00 a.m. Meet at the Clubhouse (Market Street, Middletown). Groups run from 6 to 22 miles mostly on trails through Hartshorne Woods Park & Huber Woods & the surrounding areas with scenic views. There are plenty of hills and it's a perfect run for marathon training. There are water stops & refreshments at the end. There is also the opportunity to walk on Sunday mornings. The distance is six miles & start time is variable
We need someone to be the point of contact for this long-standing group run and assist with placing & cleaning up refreshments stops. If interested, please contact the club President. Send email to:

JSRC Adopt-a-Family 2017
MONDAY  |   DECEMBER 18  |  Asbury Park | 6:30 p.m.
Adopt-a-Family gift wrapping will be Monday, December 18 in the cafeteria at  Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, 805 Pine Street and First Avenue, Asbury Park. Please  sign up if you are able to attend so we know how many to expect.  
If you'd like to contribute, but can't make the event contact one of the coordinators and we will arrange a pick up in advance.

You can select any family member / any item! 
You don't need to adopt an entire family or person. 
Monetary donations and gift cards are also welcome.  
Gift cards for $25 or less are preferred so we can distribute them to the different families.

JSRC Member John O'Gorman matched $400 donated at the November 28 club meeting.  Thank you John!

New Years Eve Twilight Fun Run/Walk & Party

Running In The New Year - A JSRC Tradition
JSRC New Year's Eve Annual Twilight Fun Run/Walk & Party will take place
Sunday, December 31, 2017 - 4:00 p.m. at Leggett's Sand Bar, Manasquan.
Join us for the 14th Annual JSRC Twilight 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk on the Manasquan Beach Walk and back to Leggett's Sand Bar for the post run/walk celebration. This is a FUNRUN - Runners, walkers and friends are all welcome and needed. JSRC contributes a portion of its race proceeds to Manasquan Recreation and Circle of Friends.

Late Registration (12/26 through "day of") - $30.00
Party Only (Includes Tech Tee Shirt) - $20.00

Secret Mystery Winter Trail Run

Join Ken Vercammen and friends at 10:17a.m. on Saturday, January 6 for the 
5-Mile Eagle Trail Run and 2-mile Turkey Group Run.
More powerful than the Mud runs, Warrior Runs and Swamp devil runs.  Tired of the same old neighborhood roads, traffic, bad drivers? Join the off-road runners for a great and unusual training run. Run in the woods and marshes of Edison. Hashing is not a race but a non-competitive group run which follows an off-road course laid out with baking flour. If you like trail running without the competition of a formal race, this will be a fun switch for you. This is a complex course through woods, grass, swamp and marsh.  Wear old running shoes 
Location: Secret Mystery wooded area North Brunswick/ East Brunswick , South B
Registration Fee:  Only $20.00  
Free skull items for Pre-registered
$24.00 by mail to enter  For those registered, an email will be sent with secret start location and secret post run party.
$30.00 DAY OF EVENT. 
Volunteers receive free beer and goodies.
Please bring a can food donation for St. Matthews Edison Food Bank
Post Run Party held at secret location to be emailed to pre-registered. A fun time is guaranteed! You must be over 21 years old to participate. No times are recorded. A sense a humor is a must. Prizes & giveaways at the post race social. You don't even need to run to participate.

In its 54th Year! This one is perfect for the "late sleepers" as the run starts at 1:00 p.m. You can join Dr. Harry Nolan who has run every year since this races's first run in 1964.
Twilight Run. Leggets, Manasquan 
Sunday, December 31 
This is the last club event of the year! The traditional run on the beach, approximately two miles out and back with warm food  and drink to follow. We think it's a perfect "Pre-Party" warmup before your New Year's Plans.

Bodman Group Run

Bodman will pick up now that season schedule is lighter. Show up on Sundays at 8:00 a.m.  This run is a great way to learn your hills and "how to avoid face plants and other hazards
