A CALENDAR OVERVIEW of L'Dor Va-Dor Happenings

upcoming-events-headline-54713797-orig_orig image

  • Sunday, SEPTEMBER 17, 3:30 pm ET - In-personTASHLICH ceremony at the water by the Hive Waterfront Restaurant, 2412 Floral Road, Lake Worth, FL 33462. Celebrate the new year with this ancient custom and have fun with us! During a Tashlich ceremony, Jews symbolically cast off the sins of the previous year by tossing bread crumbs into flowing water. We contemplate things done wrong in the past year and then “throw them away,” promising for improvement in this new Jewish Year 5784. All are welcome to join us for this ceremony, where we will lighten it up with a touch of humor and song, making it enjoyable and special! We will meet outside of the restaurant on the east side by the water. Please bring bread or crackers of any type (the more unique the better!) to "cast away into the water".
  • The Hive Restaurant is located on the north side of Hypoluxo Road, between Congress and I-95 and is accessed by turning north at Eastview Drive (just west of restaurant) and right turn onto Floral Road. Please CLICK HERE for more details.
  • DINNER WITH FRIENDS following: We MAY still be able to accommodate a few more people for DINNER at the Hive Restaurant. Please let us know if you are interested in also joining us for dinner following the Tashlich ceremony at 4:00 pm ET, by calling 561-968-0688.
  • Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 19, 7:00 pm ET - VirtualTOUCH of TORAH with Rabbi Barry Silver on Zoom - We welcome all to join us for some rational insight into the Torah for this upcoming Shabbat and discussion. Enjoy some one-on-one time with the Rabbi. Feel free to elaborate on or question any portion of the Torah or aspect of Judaism. Please CLICK HERE for more details and/or to join us via Zoom. This is a weekly virtual program.
  • Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 20, 6:30 pm ET - In-person: SOUNDS OF PEACE CONCERT, celebrating International Day of Peace, in-person at the Delray Beach Public Library, 100 West Atlantic Ave, Delray 33444. This is a FREE program, sponsored in part by Rabbi Barry Silver and Congregation L'Dor Va-Dor, in conjunction with the Interfaith Cafe and several other organizations. It will feature Cecilia St. King, International Peace Troubadour, who will play guitar and sing songs of peace, some traditional, some original. Please join in and enjoy!
