Weaver Reckner & Reinhart
Dental Associates
As Dr. Weaver reminisces about the early days of WRR, he recalls the “conversation” held via a phone voice recording on an old tape recorder system. “I called Dr. Reckner’s home late at night on a Thursday in the summer of 1993 and left a message about a desire to practice with him in our own practice that we would build in Souderton. I was away for the weekend and when I returned, Dr. Reckner had left a message in response to mine saying that he thought it would be a great idea”, said Dr. Weaver. “We both desired a beneficent practice where we educated patients, listened to their needs, took into account the patients’ feelings, provided comfort in patient care, and delivered high-quality dental service". All of this has continued consistently throughout the years. With the addition of Dr. Tracy Reinhart and Dr. George Reinhart, Dr. David Guengerich and Dr. Chris Zeledon, we continue these practices today in our two locations.

Every February, dental health professionals in conjunction with the American Dental Association, recognize the importance of children’s dental health awareness through a month-long campaign. This year’s campaign is “Water, Nature’s Drink!” The purpose of the campaign is to educate parents, teachers, caregivers and even the children themselves on the importance of good oral health. Tooth decay is the most common of chronic diseases among children according to the ADA. WRR is dedicated to providing our patients and their families with the tools needed to promote healthy mouths for our youngest patients. Throughout the month of February, be sure to visit our Facebook page for helpful tips, videos and fun activities for you to share with your children. You can also visit the American Dental Association website for some fun activity sheets.
At what age should I bring my child to the dentist? How will he react? What can I do to help make her first visit enjoyable? The American Dental Association recommends a child’s first visit around one year old or when the first tooth erupts as a well-baby check. This is a good opportunity for parents to ask questions and seek advice. If you’re feeling anxious about bringing your child for their first appointment, check out our Monthly Blog section on our website for some helpful tips and advice.
