WHY JOIN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS???

Dear Members of HAR:

Going into my 3 rd year on the Board of Directors for HomeTown Association of REALTORS,  it got me thinking why did I start 3 years ago? Why did I decide to volunteer for 3 more years? Why will I probably continue being involved after my term is over? These are all great questions with one really great answer...BECAUSE I CAN!

I volunteered as a Guest Director 2016-2017 year, to expand my understanding of the Real Estate world beyond my office.  I’ve always wanted to be the best REALTOR for my clients. I wanted to know as much as I could and be an advocate for the consumer. Where do you learn these things? This is beyond buying and selling. This is beyond what an office can teach you. Joining the association either as Director or on a Committee, you are taking the next step. You are not just representing your clients but all clients, all REALTORS, your friends and your community. We protect our clients and our fellow REALTORS best interests when we volunteer and get involved outside of our everyday business.  It doesn’t consume my time; it is worth finding the time in your schedule to get involved.

Thank you Members for my opportunity to Serve you!
