Dementia Friendly Washington County speaks at HARC meeting

Did you know that dementia in its many forms affects more than 3,000 people in Washington County, Maryland along with their caregivers? Learning more about prevention, diagnosis, and treatment can help, as well as having access to support. At our October 2024 HARC meeting, we heard from representatives of Dementia Friendly Washington County (DFWC) about their efforts to make Washington County a dementia-friendly place to thrive. Updated (again!) Food, Clothing & Personal Care Resources List

The Food, Clothing & Personal Care Resources list for Washington County has new updates, including new requirements for a couple of big pantries and an additional diaper resource. Please delete your old lists and use this one instead!  Updated Resource List: English Version / Spanish version.

Facilities Assistant Needed

St. Ann Church is seeking a part-time (5-10 hours/week, flexible schedule) Facilities Assistant for weekly classroom and multi-purpose room set-ups and maintenance for parish events and activities. Candidates must be able to handle physical workload (lifting and moving tables, chairs, etc.) with some evening and weekend availability.

Volunteers Needed for The Pantry on the Go Food Drop - October 25

Now it’s your turn to embrace that same spirit of adventure! Choose from a variety of hikes tailored to all skill levels, explore the stunning autumn foliage, make new connections, and be inspired by the legacy of Grandma Gatewood.
