First Christian Church welcomes new Director of Youth Ministry

First Christian Church in Hagerstown is excited to announce that their new Director of Youth Ministry is Jennifer Plummer! Their youth ministry will be blessed by her leadership, experience and education. Jennifer is a gifted 8th grade teacher at E. Russell Hicks Middle School. She brings a depth of passion for youth ministry, founded on her faith and her experience as a youth in their church and church camp.

Interfaith Progressive Dinner

Various Locations

To honor the International Day of Peace, an Interfaith Progressive Dinner will be held at several different local houses of worship with multiple faith traditions participating. Different portions of a meal will be served at each location as we progressively move as one group from place to place. Tickets: $25 per person general admission, $10 for students (including college). Event is limited to a maximum of 100 people. Ticket deadline is September 18, 2026.

National Night Out at Fairgrounds Park

This completely free event features a live DJ, snow cones, lawn games, drone demonstrations, an inflatable slide, axe throwing, and special law enforcement vehicles. Hot dogs will be donated by Sheetz, and the Hagerstown Police Department and community partners will hand out backpacks and school supplies while supplies last.
