Executive Director and CEO Lori Kahikina, P.E., and Deputy Executive Director Rick Keene discussed the latest updates about the Honolulu Rail Project on the Rick Hamada show, which aired ‘live’ on Friday, January 20, 2023.

HART and Frank V. Coluccio Construction Company (FVCCC) would like to notify motorists of travel modifications and lane closures on Halekauwila Street required for ongoing Downtown Utilities Relocation work.

• Utilities relocation work along Halekauwila Street between Richards Street and Punchbowl Street will occur Monday - Saturday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and overnights from 8 pm to 5 am.

1. Left turns from Ala Moana Boulevard onto Halekauwila Street will be intermittently closed during daytime work hours, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Motorists traveling on Ala Moana Boulevard will be detoured to South Street to access Halekauwila Street.
2. Left turns from Richards Street onto Halekauwila Street will be closed intermittently during overnight work hours, 8 pm to 5 am. Motorists will be detoured to Bishop Street and Ala Moana Boulevard to access Halekauwila Street. 

• HART Utility work on Halekauwila Street between Punchbowl Street and Cooke Street will occur Monday - Saturday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Through-traffic on Halekauwila Street will be maintained for motorists.
