This latest construction update flyover video shows the construction progress along the alignment between Āhua (Lagoon Drive) Station to Kahauiki (Middle Street – Kalihi Transit Center) Station.

 

HART's contractor Shimmick/Traylor/Granite Joint-Venture (STG) is constructing the Airport Guideway and Stations (AGS) in this segment, which includes 5.2 miles of elevated guideway, four (4) stations, and is nearly complete.

Dillingham Utilities Relocation

Dillingham Utilities Relocation - Join the meeting

HART and Nan, Inc. invites the public to attend its virtual monthly Business and Community meeting on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 12 pm to learn and ask questions about the Dillingham Utilities Relocation work.


The meeting will cover Nan's initial work and traffic plans on Dillingham Boulevard between Mokauea Street and Waiakamilo Road. 


Starting November 28, 2022, HART's contractor Nan, Inc. is expected to start construction for the Dillingham Utilities Relocation work for the Honolulu Rail Project. This work will occur on Dillingham Boulevard/Kamehameha Highway between Middle Street and Kaaahi Street.


Construction operations will include trenching, jet grouting, wet and dry utilities relocation, traffic signal installation, micro tunneling, drilled shafts, road widening, curb gutter sidewalk installation, and pavement restoration.

Airport Guideway and Stations --- Join the meeting

HART and contractor Shimmick/Traylor/Granite Joint-Venture (STG) invites the public to attend its monthly Business and Community meeting on Wednesday, November 17, 2022, at 1 pm for the Airport Guideway and Stations contract segment.


The virtual meeting will cover STG’s upcoming construction activities for the 5.2 miles of rail guideway and four stations between Aloha Stadium and Middle Street.

Monday Traffic Update

Dillingham Construction Notice --- Click for details

Starting on November 28, 2022, Dillingham Boulevard between Mokauea Street and Waiakamilo Road will be reduced to one eastbound travel lane and one westbound travel lane, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

Left turns from Dillingham Boulevard will be restricted. Driveway access will be maintained. Bus stops near designated work zones may be temporarily relocated.

 

Access from cross streets and intersections onto Dillingham Boulevard may be temporarily restricted, as needed, on weeknights from 7 pm to 5 am.

 

Beginning early 2023, this single eastbound and single westbound lane configuration will extend through the length of Kamehameha Highway and Dillingham Boulevard from Middle Street to Kaaahi Street.

 

Residents and businesses near work zones may experience elevated levels of noise during operating hours. Please anticipate and plan for delays and travel detours, observe all tra­c signs and drive with caution.

In this week’s business spotlight, HART highlights Pongo's Kitchen. Located in Kalihi, Pongo’s started in 1991 in a pink lunch wagon. In 2001, they opened their take-out restaurant on Mokauea Street to serve healthy and fresh plate lunches.


Pongo's Kitchen offers tasty eats like grilled Mahi with ginger green onion drizzle. There's also the grilled ahi with Hawaiian salsa. But if fish is not your thing, Pongo's also has hamburger steak with gravy and onions. There's also the short rib plate with garlic butter sauce. They also offer catering services.
