Construction Update Video
This new video shows an overview of recent images of HART's construction along the rail alignment, stations and overhead guideway between Kualaka'i (East Kapolei) to Kahauiki (Middle Street-Kalihi Transit Center) Stations.
Construction of the Project’s first segment, from East Kapolei to Aloha Stadium, is completed. Comprehensive testing is currently being performed in this segment of the Project and anticipated to be turned over to the City’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) by early 2023 for operation. Construction of the second segment from Aloha Stadium to Middle Street, is nearly completed and expected to be turned over to DTS in early 2025.

Dillingham Utilities Relocation
Join the first virtual Business and Community meeting on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 12 pm and learn about Dillingham utility relocations work. Ask questions and receive the latest updates from HART's contractor Nan, Inc.
Construction operations will include trenching, jet grouting, wet and dry utilities relocation, traffic signal installation, micro tunneling, drilled shafts, road widening, curb gutter sidewalk installation, and pavement restoration.
Meeting updates for Dillingham utilities relocation will be held on the fourth Thursday of every month*.

Update On Rail System
HART Executive Director and CEO Lori Kahikina, P. E. was interviewed on Thursday, October 20, by KHON – Wake Up 2day. Emergency training exercises, trial running, and relocating utilities for the Downtown and Dillingham Boulevard corridors were discussed. During the interview, Kahikina also shared work milestones about the FTA accepting HART’s Recovery Plan, which allows for the remaining $744 million in federal funding to be released, and the latest about the hammerheads.

HART and its Maintenance Contractor will be working on Salt Lake Boulevard near the Hālawa (Aloha Stadium) Station and the Aloha Stadium facility starting Monday, October 24, 2022. Lane closures on Salt Lake Boulevard will be implemented from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Lane closures may be needed intermittently through December 2022.
Lane closure impact summary:
Up to two lanes of Salt Lake Boulevard outbound may be closed.
Left turns and right turns from Salt Lake Boulevard outbound at the Kamehameha Highway intersection will be maintained. However, turn lane capacity may be reduced.
Driveways and access to the Aloha Stadium will be maintained.
While driving near designated work zones, please remember to watch for workers, pedestrians and other motorists! Please remember to drive with aloha!
