Ed Sniffen Joins the HART Board

Ed Sniffen

Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) Executive Director and CEO Lori Kahikina, P.E. issued the following statement regarding the appointment of Ed Sniffen to the HART Board of Directors: 


On behalf of HART, I extend a warm welcome to Director Designate Ed Sniffen to the HART Board of Directors. Sniffen was recently appointed by Governor Josh Green to be the Director of the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT). By Charter, the HDOT Director serves as a member of the HART Board.


Sniffen fills the seat vacated by Board Member Jade Butay, who was the former HDOT Director. HART also extends its gratitude to Butay for his work with the Project.

Monday Traffic Update

FVCCC Halekauwila Street

HART and Frank V. Coluccio Construction Company (FVCCC) would like to notify motorists of lane closures on Halekauwila Street required for the Downtown Utilities Relocation project.

 

Starting on Monday, January 3, 2023, left turns from Ala Moana Boulevard onto Halekauwila Street will be restricted. In addition, left turns from Richards Street onto Halekauwila Street will be restricted. These turn restrictions onto Halekauwila Street will occur during the daytime from 8:30 am to 3 pm, and overnights from 8 pm to 5 am.

 

Driveway access will be maintained along Richards Street and Halekauwila Street. Please anticipate and plan for delays and travel detours.
