HART Promotes Transportation Options at Hunterdon Medical Center
HART’s Community Mobility staff was recently on hand at Hunterdon Medical Center to provide patients and visitors with information on the available transportation options on getting to the Medical Center and medical appointments. HART responded to inquiries about how to use the Hunterdon County LINK Transportation Service, local taxis, and Lyft.

Califon Borough Kicks off Street Smart NJ Pedestrian Safety Campaign
A “Street Smart NJ” pedestrian safety education campaign aimed at reducing pedestrian-motor vehicle crashes in the Borough of Califon kicked off on April 16, 2018. Street Smart NJ is a collaborative effort between public, private and non-profit organizations, funded and managed by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA).

Hunterdon County Bike to Work Week 2018
Hunterdon County Bike to Work Week 2018 kicks off this week and will run through Friday, May 18, 2018. 

This free annual event, coordinated by HART, provides local commuters with a fun opportunity to leave their cars behind and consider bicycling to work instead. Participation in Hunterdon County Bike to Work Week is open to anyone 18 years or older who lives or works in Hunterdon, or those who ride to a Hunterdon County transit facility or Park and Ride lot. Participants may ride as many days as they choose throughout the week.

Students Navigate a Better Way to Get to School: Hunterdon County Walk/Bike to School Week 2018
The 5th annual Hunterdon County Walk/Bike to School Week was held from April 16- 20, 2018, serving as the official launch of the spring walking season and the “reactivation” of regularly scheduled “walking school buses” at 13 Hunterdon elementary and middle schools. The theme for this year’s event was “Navigating a Better Way to School”.  More than 500 students participated and received a colorful compass to hang on their backpack upon their arrival to school.

Student Teams Preparing for Junior Solar Sprints Competition
Approximately 500 students at eighteen (18) Hunterdon schools have been designing, building and testing solar powered model race cars as part of the Hunterdon County Junior Solar Sprints Program. Junior Solar Sprints (JSS) is a competition based S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) curriculum program. Junior Solar Sprints (JSS) engages Hunterdon students in Grades 6-8.
