Humanities Undergraduate Research
While research is commonly associated with STEM subjects, Humanities research thrives at UW. As a UW student, you have access to special programs only available to UW as an R-1 Flagship university, as well as expert faculty who regularly engage in research in their fields.
Interested in getting started with Humanities research? Check out these options:
Summer Institute of Arts & Humanities(SIAH): Specifically designed for Arts and Humanities students, SIAH gives students the opportunity to spend summer quarter creating a research paper/project that is presented at a closing symposium.
Departmental Honors Programs: Many departmental Honors programs require students to engage in original research under faculty supervision. Explore your department's Honors program's requirements hereto learn more about possible research opportunities.
Undergraduate Research Symposium: Showcase your original research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium every spring! Open to all undergrads, this is your chance to present your work with faculty supervision and be a part ow the UW research community. Register for an upcoming info session to learn more!
Join this fair where you can meet employers representing all industries on a virtual platform to learn more about available internships and jobs. Register for this event and learn how to prepare for this fair here.

Huskies@Work is a UWAA program that matches UW students and alumni to discuss career journeys and job experiences in one-time, low-commitment talks. Apply by Nov. 2 to get paired with a mentor by mid-November.

Oct. 10: Time Schedule for WIN quarter classes available on web.
Oct. 14: Late Add Period ends. Late Add Petition required after this date.
Oct. 24: Full tuition due if withdrawing for the quarter on/after this date.
Nov. 11: Veteran’s Day. No classes on this day, and most offices and buildings closed.
