Happy Fall Quarter, Humanities Huskies!

From the team at Humanities Academic Services (HAS), welcome! We are your main academic advising support team. Expect monthly email Newsletters from us with useful resources, tips, and reminders to get the most out of your UW experience. New this year is our recurring career corner, which includes career development advice specific to Humanities students. In this month's Newsletter, we'll be covering:

  • Community within the Humanities;
  • Upcoming events; and
  • Finding your career path.

Your Humanities Community

Whether you are new to campus or graduating, you deserve a space where you feel like you belong. Here are community spaces centered around the Humanities, both on and off campus.

  • Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are student clubs that offer you connection over common interests or identities. This is a great way to meet new people and receive access to potential leadership roles. See our list of Humanities-affiliated RSOs here.
  • Local Community Organizations will help you find your place in the greater Seattle area. See how Humanities scholarship is put into place outside of the classroom and to community beyond campus. See our list of community organizations here.
  • Humanities Academic Services (HAS) advising is also part of your community! Our advising team can help you reach your individual goals, connect you to opportunities and people, and provide a comfortable space to navigate through difficulty. We can answer questions about degree plans, registration, study abroad, careers, research, and more!
