Choose your Attitude: It's not magic, It's mindset
Debra first hit the headlines when she set out to row across the Atlantic with her husband. Unfortunately, he had to be rescued so Debra, a novice rower, continued alone without a support boat and rowed 3000 miles from Tenerife to Barbados.
It should have taken them six weeks, but Debra ended up spending 3 ½ months at sea alone, battling 30-foot waves, hurricane force winds, sharks, near misses with container ships and the most debilitating loneliness, all in her 23-foot plywood boat.
"I’m convinced that if we choose the right attitude, even when faced with what can sometimes feel like insurmountable hurdles, anything is possible. We always have a choice."
This is an exciting presentation with an extradentary young woman presenting a life lesson to our daughters and sons to emulate… by choosing their attitude each day and talking one small step at a time.
