Come See Me!

This happy tribe of Hennepin Folks attended the Rhythm in Gold concert at Kennedy High School in Bloomington. We got to see three of our Hennepin Youth perform. Bryan Carter pretty much summed it up when he said, “Boy has show choir changed since I was in high school!” Our students are so gifted and it was amazing to see them shine! Be sure to reach out to me at Lynne@haumc.org if you would like to hear about future events that we plan to attend!

Part of building community is getting to know one another in the important spaces that we inhabit outside of church. Come See Me is an opportunity for youth to invite members of their church family to attend their special events. If you have a concert, big game, or other awesome event coming up, send an email to familyministry@haumc.org and we will make sure your church family is invited! If you are interested in supporting Hennepin youth at their big events, send an email to familyministry@haumc.org. We will put you on a list and let you know about upcoming events!

Board Game Day and Crafternoon!

April 5 • 1-4pm

Looking for something fun to do on a Saturday? Join us on April 5th from 1–4pm in Carlson Hall for an epic Board Game Day! Whether you’re a board game pro or just want to try something new, we’ve got games for all skill levels.

Bring your favorite game or check out a new one from our huge selection. Stay for the whole afternoon or just pop in for a round or two! Snacks will be provided, so grab a friend (or two) and come ready for some fun and fellowship. Open to everyone 3rd grade and up.

Just like the last board game day, we are calling all crafters! You, HAUMC members, and friends are invited to join other crafters in the Longfellow room for fun, fellowship (and snacks!) and working on projects. Either come with your own current craft or needlework project or choose from options provided. There will be materials and guidance available if you would like to make friendship bracelets; learn to knit or crochet; help tie a quilt to give to a local agency; stuff a bear to be given to a newly baptized HAUMC child; use a knitting frame to make a cap for an Emerson School child who may not have one; or knit or crochet a prayer shawl to be given in support and care for a Hennepin member.
