Teenagers in Grades 8-12 are invited to participate in a multi-faceted ministry at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church. You're encouraged to join Youth Director Rick Belbutoski and other adult leaders for a variety of ministries, events, and ways to serve your neighbor in the name of Jesus Christ.
Hello Hennepin Youth & Families!

I hope that by now, your new routines are starting to feel more normal. Sunday October 6 is the first Sunday of the month, and that means a different schedule for the youth program. On Communion Sundays we don't have Confirmation Class or Small group, because we want to encourage families to worship together. Though we don't have the usual youth programming, we do have an open house October 6 after the 10 am service in the Longfellow room. It'll be a great chance to connect and learn more about the exciting events coming up on the youth calendar. October also features a Lock in October 12 which will begin with a trip to Sky Zone, and we can't forget Trunk or Treat on October 27th. There's a lot more info below.

The Schedule for 10/6

Youth Open House 11 am in the Longfellow Room
Youth Group from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in Church of Youth Room.
Dinner from 6:00 - 6:30

Sunday, I will again provide providing dinner for the youth. If you're interested in supporting this fellowship time between youth group and Journey Choir please email me at rick@haumc.org

Grace and Peace,

Youth Ministries Open House
October 6, 11 am in the Longfellow Room

All parents of youth are invited to join Rick in the Longfellow room after the Traditional Worship service this Sunday, October 6. Bring your cinnamon roll or enjoy light refreshments at the open house. In addition to connecting with Rick you can learn more about Confirmation Class, The Youth Lock-In, Trunk-or-Treat, and more. Come and stay a few minutes before you leave church on Sunday!

Fall Lock - IN Oct. 12 - 13

To celebrate the fall season, all youth grades 8-12 are invited to join us for the Fall Lock - In. The event will begin at 6:00 pm at the Sky Zone in Edina before grabbing Pizza, and heading back to Hennepin for fun and games.

We will need volunteers to help with transportation to help make this fun night a reality, so please let me know if you can help. The cost of the Lock - IN is $30.

October 27, 4 pm in the Parking Lot

Trunk-or-Treat is right around the corner! On October 27 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm Hennepin will host hundreds of kids from the church and neighborhood for this family-friendly event. Help us make this celebration a success by bringing extra candy to the East entry starting September 29.

To volunteer for this great event, go to haumc.org/register to sign up to be a trunk host, help with indoor hospitality, or do face paintings.
