THE JOB OF A TEACHER...
Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day and we celebrated with a grand slam of activities! Thank you to all of our family members who helped to decorate doors, to celebrate our teachers' dedication with kind words, and to our parents who added a lot of love to our staff room. If you haven't had the opportunity, I know that teachers love receiving a simple email of kind words... those are treasured and appreciated. We are so fortunate to have our staff and our community working together to create a wonderful school for our students.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN CAASPP SCORES ARE AVAILABLE?
We are completing our second week of CAASPP testing for grades 3-6, with a focus in MATHEMATICS. Students complete two different testing sessions this week. When CAASPP scores are available, it will be important for you as a parent to understand the test results. This website is simple to read and easy to use! To have a better understanding of the areas of READING and MATHEMATICS that are assessed, please go to https://ca.startingsmarter.org/. This is one of the better, easy-to-understand websites that I have seen.
Our students are doing a fabulous job staying focused and putting their best efforts forward during testing times. Thank you as well for getting your child to school on time and ready for the day, whether they are testing or not!

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT
