HAWP's 14-Day Quarantine Wellness Guide
Some students moving back to campus from out-of-state may have to quarantine for up to 14 days as per Massachusetts and Brandeis policy. In the upcoming semester, other students may also need to quarantine. Here is a day-by-day wellness guide to help keep you entertained and well as you support the safety of our Brandeis community.

Managing Stress in the "New Normal"
Entering into a new school year can be an exciting, yet stressful time. Dealing with the challenges of COVID-19 and the changes implemented for the fall semester may add to the stresses that we normally feel when starting a new semester. In difficult and traumatic times, developing strategies for coping and self-care is important. HAWP intern Hannah Jacobson ‘22, recommends stress management strategies to use in this unusual semester.

NEW: The 10-Minute Mind®
HAWP is partnering with The 10 Minute Mind® to bring their mindfulness resource to the whole Brandeis community. Sign up for this free program to receive a brand new guided mindfulness track every morning. All you need to do is take 10 minutes to sit somewhere quiet, put your headphones on and listen. It’s that easy!

Practicing Self-Compassion and Self-Forgiveness
Self-compassion and self-forgiveness can sometimes be overlooked aspects of our wellness. As we think about staying active, getting enough sleep, and eating well in order to support our wellness, we must remember that being kind and compassionate to ourselves is also important. HAWP intern Michelle Cheng ‘22, explains the importance of practicing self-compassion and forgiving ourselves to support our health and wellness.

Quick and Easy Recipe Ideas
Student life and academic demands often occupy much of our time, which can prevent us from having the time to cook or make healthy recipes. Here are some quick and easy recipes that you can try.

Stress Less Saturday
Every Saturday, the HAWP Instagram (@brandeiswellness) features a member of the Brandeis community and shares what they like to do in order to de-stress. We are looking for more Brandeis community members to feature!
