How are these two awards programs different? The STARS Awards recognizes builders, associates, media and advertising professionals, and HBAs from across North Carolina that are at the top of their game. The Galaxy Awards honors the top new home builders and sales professionals in the state.

The STARS Awards & Galaxy Awards will be held in conjunction with the 21st Century Building Expo & Conference on Thursday, October 12, 2017 during an evening gala at the Omni Charlotte Hotel.

Businesses sought for youth internship program

Businesses are being sought for a summer program that will offer internships to young people in science, technology, engineering and math fields.

The Summer Youth Internship program, co-sponsored by the city of Fayetteville, the Public Works Commission, Cumberland County Schools and the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, will offer jobs to 30 youths from June 19 through July 29.

The 32-hour a week jobs pay $8 an hour. The application period for interns has closed.
