April 2021 is in the books! As our campus prepares for the last five weeks of school, we are racing to squeeze in as much "normal" as possible!
Houston Christian rolled out the red carpet on Friday, April 9th, for Lights! Camera! Auction! Hollywood Nights! It was a sold-out event that included an alumni table and an alumni parent table. It was a glamorous and joyful evening in support of HC! This annual event is becoming a must-go event for our community! We hope to see you there next year too!
On Wednesday, April 21, HC's Admin Team surprised our campus successfully with the third Mustang Madness Day! Our students and teachers took a break from classes, projects and daily operations to enjoy some much-needed, community-building time with pick-up basketball games, board games, sand volleyball, laser tag, Kona Ice, lots of popcorn and a stress-relieving petting zoo! Our Mustang Madness Day was perfectly coordinated with our new campus health & safety guidelines, which were updated on April 14, in which students are no longer required to wear their masks outside during unstructured time.
Party on the Patio with new senior bricks! Houston Christian's newer tradition of celebrating our Senior Bricks with a special reveal occurred after the Red Shirt Day event on April 23rd. The class of 2021 was excited to see where they left their mark on HC's campus. Take a peek at this video we shared with our senior parents!
This month also was our time to onboard the senior class to HC Connects. You should have seen a big jump in new members as we spoke to each senior bible class and helped them register. Please feel free to reach out through HC Connects to mentor, provide inspiration or merely say congratulations to the Class of 2021!
Lastly, we hosted our first ever Alumni Giving Day online last week! Many thanks to all of our alumni and alumni parents who supported Indexed Tuition and our HC community! It is never too late to give and there are always new stories to be written by students who are given an opportunity to excel at HC!
We are looking forward to finishing out our spring semester with some great opportunities for alumni to send notes to retiring teachers, attend a virtual coffee with Colonel and Nancy Wilson, and to start networking with our Class of 2021 seniors!
